An individual or a corporation desiring to rent paintings can do so directly
from an artist or with the assistance of PalmBeachArt.com subject to the
following conditions:
1. All rented artwork must be insured by the renter.
2. Transportation both ways must be prepaid by the renter.
3. Framing of the artwork is the responsibility of the renter.
The artist is not required to frame his/her artwork. Framing costs will not be
deducted from the total cost of the rental. Frames paid for by the renter shall
remain the renter's property.
4. The minimum rental contract length is three months. The
maximum length is one calendar year.
5. The renter can purchase the rented piece of art at the
price agreed to at the time the contract is entered into.
6. Rented artwork can not leave the premises agree to in the
rental contract.
7. Rented artwork can not be offered for sale by the renter.
Rented artwork can not be sold or subleased by the renter.
8. Rented artwork is protected by Copyrights laws, and it can
not be reproduced without written consent of the artist.
Fees:
The rental fee is five percent of the retail price of the artwork per month. The
minimum contract is three months and it must be paid in advance. For example,
suppose a renter desires to rent five paintings -- one costing $3,000.00, one
costing $4,000.00, and three others costing $2,000.00 each -- the total value of the five paintings is
$13,000.00. Insurance must be obtained
by the renter for a total coverage of $13,000.00. The monthly costs of
renting these
five paintings will be $650.00. $1,950.00, for the first three months of
the contract, must be paid in advance. If after three months the renter desires
to purchase the five paintings, the $1,950.00 will be deducted from the total
cost of $13,000.00.
