Immutable daybreak  
Always becoming something more  
Even as the day wears on  
Through petty indifference's  
Musty calibrations of intent.  
There is a little place  
Somewhere between us  
That grows among strangers.  
It is easy to turn away  
To ignore accords  
To prize the selfish prize  
But where does that leave you  
When night comes on  
Always, as it must?  
Give thanks this gracious day  
For the many ways to touch  
The longing in each other
