I have been drawing since childhood, always interpreting the power of the line or the absence of it. Through the interplay of line, color, and form, I believe I can attain freedom.
The symbols which appear in my work -- the fish, crowns, broken lines, twisted lines, squares, triangles, and circles -- come from a space deep within my soul. The emotional content comes through in the guise of colors. I love color because of the expressive tonal qualities that can be achieved. The emotional expression is complete the moment color is laid down on the canvas.
