We are in a
constant state of becoming and unbecoming. Despite being part of a magical
universe, we must strive to maintain our wonder. We are riding around the
universe on a ball of dirt. Food comes up out of the ground and rain falls
from the heavens, magical animals creep and crawl on the forest floor.
Yet, we are not in a continuous state of amazement and delight. I wish we
were. I do not know what death holds for us, but I insist on being
optimistic. As my magical eight ball said when I was a child, "All signs
point to yes."
My paintings come from an intuitive dialogue with the paint. The figures
and landscapes emerge from the paint. Painting is my connection to mystery
of living. |
